If reliable you have a cracked windshield replace it don't settle for windshield repair. It is bogus. If your insurance company insists on windshield repair, refuse that type of service and demand a new one. You have that right and you also have the right to choose your own glass company.
There are two, one on each side of the toilet, closet bolts which hold the toilet to the floor. If there are caps over the bolts, remove or pop them open. Using a small crescent wrench unscrew the nuts from the bolts. Alternate side to side when unscrewing this will be much more important when reinstalling the water line repair bolts but alternate anyhow.
After you have the stems out you should be able to find the washer on the "inside" end. If it is nicked, torn or brittle it is likely the cause of your drip. Most Do It Yourself stores have replacement stems for many popular brands. If your valve has a center diverter valve to switch the waterfrom the tub spout to the shower head the same process applies. Many times it is easier to replace the diverter stem than to repair it. This really depends on the design of the stem.
The next step in this process is to determine what type of method is available for fixing the problem. You cannot just caulk a crack or fill it in with cement and hope for the best. Unfortunately, there is more work than this because you have to fix the problem from both the inside out and the outside in. This takes a professional in most cases to determine the best method for repair.
Plumbers, like all other companies, are required to be on time and act professional. If they have called before hand to notify you then, this can be overlooked. However, if they turn up without apologising for being late, then they may not be the right plumber for you. Remember first water line repair impressions are everything. If they lack a good first impression then this may indicate that it is going to have an impression on their work.
